Mohamed Khair Bin Mohamed Noor

Mr Mohamed Khair Bin Mohamed Noor who has been a business and training consultant since 1994 handling hundreds of consultancy assignments in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. His clients include PSA, Jakarta International Container Terminal, Johor Corp, Malaysian Institute of Public Administration or INTAN, Malaysian Government Consulting Arm or MAMPU, Singapore Civil Service College, Singapore Ministries and Agencies, Brunei Government Ministries and Agencies, Bank Indonesia, Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), among others. He was also an Associate Consultant to the World Bank from 2000 to 2004 handing compliance and conflict resolution projects in ASEAN.
Mr Mohamed Khair represented the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) in a halal conference in Taiwan in 2019. He is a regular speaker and resource person in numerous onsite and online seminars, conferences and road shows such as the annual International Syariah Economic Festival (ISEF) and on other halal matters in Indonesia and Singapore organised by Bank Indonesia. In September 2023, Mohd Khair represented Singapore in the World Islamic Entrepreneur Summit (WIES) held at Padang where he provided perspectives during a panel presentation on “Universalising the Halal appeal: Mainstreaming Halal’s Reach in Global Markets.”
In Singapore, Mr Mohamed Khair has rendered his consultancy services to many household name food establishments in the halal market in their application for halal certification from MUIS. Mr Mohamed Khair also conducts training locally to help F&B personnel to attain basic knowledge on halal matters. Apart from handling consultancy assignments for halal certification by MUIS in Singapore, Mr Mohamed Khair also handles consultancy assignments for halal certification of products from overseas manufacturers by the Indonesian halal authority (BPJPH) as well as JAKIM, Malaysia’s halal certification authority.
Mohd Khair is also the creator for a very popular foodie group, Halal Café and Restaurants in Singapore, on Facebook with more than 200,000 members and participants. Apart from promoting halal F&B businesses, the group has also helped to provide consumer education on the concept, objectives, principles, application and implementation of halal within the local halal market since February 2015.
