Uma Rudd Chia is the Executive Creative Director and Cofounder of KVUR, a boutique creative solutions agency that does brand, digital and marcom strategy and execution for brands including Hilton, the Ascott Group, DHL, Acuvue and Mercer.
A highly awarded creative, Uma is also a sought-after global keynote speaker specialising on the topics creativity and branding, and the use of innovation, Ai, Web 3 and technology to help brands succeed in the real and virtual world.
She has spoken at over 19 countries to over 500,000 people over the past years at events organised by Forrester Global, Facebook, Google, She Loves Data, Pause Fest and South by Southwest and various governments of the world. Uma is the founder of The Female Idea, a platform she uses to advocate, mentor and champion female creative leaders in the creative sector.
The wife of one husband and the mother of two inquisitive teenagers and two feisty fur babies, Uma has sung in two acapella albums, created her own award-winning phonics programme - Reading PANTS™ and has authored three best selling books. Her Kindle Best Seller, 10 Things Brands Could Do To Survive a Crisis, was described by marketers and the Straits Times Singapore as “the toolkit for brands to take positive action to survive Covid-19”.
Uma launched the Spotted Zebra with Penguin Random House March this year. The book on turning things that make you stick out into things that help you stand out, was a huge success. Last year she was also appointed the Co-dean of Spikes Academy - Asia’s most prestigious award show. Uma loves physics, discussions on aliens and wakes up dreaming of walking on Mars.
